Johnny Hampton is the campus Master Gardener and available for questions Monday - Saturday, 8:00 AM to Noon.
Don’t know what to ask? Just stop by and listen to his wisdom on gardening or sign up for a gardening class instead. Elaine Fagin, Program Manager of Community Horticulture Education, offers seasonal gardening classes, tree selection classes, and gardening book reviews. Contact the church office to learn more.
This garden is 3,000 square feet of crop land has 12 fruit and nut trees, 18 grape vines, and a variety of fruits and vegetables. The garden uses solar panels for energy and has resource-efficient irrigation systems throughout for water conservation, pest management, and lighting.
Each week we offer fresh produce to the community asking for a goodwill donation in return to keep the garden running.
Are you ready to dig in and grow your own fruits and vegetables? Rent one of the garden beds at Zion UMC. The cost is minimal and almost covers the cost of hosting each bed. This is truly a mission for the good of the community. Contact the church office to find out more.
