Tithing and giving are meaningful ways we respond to God’s generosity in our lives. In the United Methodist tradition, giving isn’t about obligation—it’s about gratitude, trust, and participation in something bigger than ourselves. When we give, we acknowledge that everything we have ultimately comes from God, and we choose to live with open hands rather than closed fists.
